This curriculum was designed to provide detailed training resources for agricultural professionals and farmers interested in expanding their income sources and entering the agritourism industry. 

Living on the Land

Stewardship for Small Acreages

Type: Western SARE Grantee-Produced Info Product

One of the most comprehensive and adaptable curricula in the country for training natural resource professionals to, in turn, teach small-acreage landowners how to care for their soil, air and water while maximizing the land’s value.

Organic Conservation Training

This is a collaborative project to build the capacity of conservation professionals to assist organic and transitional farmers in planning and implementing conservation practices through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program Organic Initiative. The following guides were created by Oregon Tilth for use by NRCS staff in the Western Region. Specific states covered are Idaho, Nevada, California, and Oregon.

Organic Seed, Soils and Sustainable Business

This project provided agricultural professionals with more knowledge of organic seed, soil management and sustainable business practices. From the trainings, a webinar and tutorial were developed.

People of the Land

Sustaining American Indian Agriculture in Idaho, Nevada, Oregon and Washington

This Extension educator curriculum focuses on successful strategies for increasing the adoption of sustainable practices on reservation lands.
