Post Conference Report

Reach Out, Listen, Respond  is Western SARE's comprehensive reporting of the process and outcomes of seven subregional conferences. This report details where the conferences were held, who attended, how the conferences were structured in a way to ensure stakeholder engagement, the research and education priorities that emerged from each subregion and the projects funded after each subregional conference. What truly tells the story is the section with participant testimonials and post-conference interviews.

The goals of the project were met with 700+ attendees, 30 local speakers, 100 hours of facilitated listening sessions and 140 posters describing SARE funded projects. Most importantly, we received 7,000+ recorded comments from the participants, which have translated into funded projects post-conference and updated future plans for the program. Nine competitive grants of up to $50,000 were funded to address local needs and that target a subregional priority for a total of $333,442.
